Snow Babies Front Cover to Ray Early's Snow Babies
This is an identification guide of antique snow babies by Ray and Eilene Early. With the exception of the color cover pictures, this 42 page booklet contains black and white plate photography of approximately 140 snow babies and snow baby related materials. Out of print since 1983, and available here autographed by Ray Early, this booklet is a "must have" for serious collectors of antique snow babies and snow babies memorabilia. IMHO the booklet itself is "collectible".

Special Note: If you are a D56 Snowbabies collector only having no interest at all in "oldbabies", you will not likely find this booklet appealing.

Guide to Department 56 Snowbabies
Front Cover to Greenbook, 1997 Edition
Ever get an offer to buy at "book"? More likely than not, the "book" was Greenbook, a guide to D56 Snowbabies. Widely respected for breadth of collectibles information and values, beginning in 1997 the Greenbook folks bifurcated their D56 village and Snowbabies coverage into separate publications. Updated annually, the Greenbook contains a marvelous history section, in question and answer format, by well known Department 56 authority, Peter George. Features like that make even older editions nice to own. You can learn more about Greenbook and place orders for current editions at Peter's web site.

Department 56, Inc. Snowbabies Snowbunnies
Front Cover to Collector's Value Guide
Here's another excellent secondary market guide and handbook for Snowbabies and Snowbunnies collectors. There is a wealth of information presented in this handbook for both the novice and seasoned collectors under various section headings that provide utility and ease for reference. Over 350 full color photographs nicely organized make identifcation a snap, and the insurance guide and gift ideas sections are pretty neat too. This handbook and value guide is now (1997) in its Second Edition publication, and its certainly a worthwhile choice for D56 collectors. And the publisher has a web site to learn more and order.
