The terms of service listed here apply to SnowBabySP's Place online brokerage services. Please read these terms carefully before listing or purchasing items.

All monetary references mean sums of United States of America denominated currency.

How A Brokered Transaction Works:

A transaction is initiated by receipt of Buyer's Order Form. Seller is contacted to ensure availability and to arrange shipping. Buyer is contacted to confirm the Order and arrange payment. Payment is by personal check (shipment will be delayed to clear funds) or money order (ensures prompt shipment). Net proceeds due Seller are released upon Buyer's acceptance which may occur by the expiration of time following Buyer's receipt of the shipment. Email is used to speed the transaction. Snail mail is used for payment and delivery only.

Seller's Responsibilities:

1. Pricing. Seller is responsible for setting prices. An 8% commission is added to Seller's price and that figure becomes the List Price for an item. SnowBabySP's Place will not assist in pricing. Seller is encouraged to check published price guides, secondary market newsletters, etc. to set reasonable prices. Online collectors have a wealth of information available to determine market prices. If an item does not sell, check your pricing.

2. Shipping. Seller is responsible for shipping charges to SnowBabySP's Place. To economize on shipping, consignment arrangements can be made so that Seller may ship a large number of items at one time in advance of any pending sale. Please email in advance of shipping to SnowBabySP's Place on a consignment basis.

3. Grading and Rejected Items. Seller is responsible for shipping charges for Buyer rejections, and this is good reason to take great care in accurately describing the condition of listed items. Buyer rejected items may be left at SnowBabySP's Place for relisting with a revised condition statement if need be. Alternatively, the item will be shipped to Seller at Seller's expense. Accurately stated conditions have the effect of minimizing the incidence of Buyer rejections. SnowBabySP's Place reserves the right to refuse to list items for Sellers that, in the opinion of SnowBabySP's Place, experience an inordinate number of Buyer rejections.

4. Original Packaging. Seller should, particularly with Department 56 items, indicate whether the item will be accompanied by its original packaging and the condition of same. Original packaging is generally a price enhancer, but may be of only marginal value where badly damaged, soiled, etc. Please price accordingly.

Buyer's Responsibilities:

1. Payment. Buyer is responsible for prompt payment of the List Price, shipping charges, and any handling charge that may apply. The List Price is the price that appears in the Collector's Shop Listing and consists of the Seller's price plus an 8% commission added by SnowBabySP's Place. New Jersey residents add 6% sales tax. Buyers outside of the United States of America may incur additional charges and/or taxes depending on country and will be provided additional payment information in our Order confirmation.

2. Buyer Acceptance. Buyer is responsible for prompt inspection and acceptance of a shipped order. Buyer has two calendar (2) days following the delivery date to reject items. At the end of this period, the net proceeds due Seller from Buyer's payment will be released to Seller if we have not heard from you. Please use email to advise of any disatisfaction and to ensure that rejection is judged to be timely. If you are satisfied, you can significantly speed completion of the transaction by the courtesy of an email to that effect :)
